Osaka/Japan travelogue

“Tako-no-tetsu”(Osaka’s famous takoyaki shop)

This takoyaki shop is located at the south exit of JR Osaka Station. This store is famous in Osaka, and celebrities also visit it. It’s so popular that it’s always crowded.

The takoyaki restaurant here is different from other restaurants. Other stores use frozen foods, but this store uses the ingredients procured on the day. Also, all are self-service, but if you don’t know how to make it, the clerk will tell you.

You can go from Shinsaibashi station. There are many restaurants around Ebisubashi, but there are also luxury brand boutiques such as Audemars Piguet. It is a place with many Chinese tourists. Also, you can also take a pleasure boat that cruises the Dotonbori River.

Unfortunately, the Fugu restaurant called Zuboraya closed in 2020. The reason is that the number of foreign tourists has decreased due to the influence of COVID-19.

Abeno Harukas

Abeno Harukas is a skyscraper with a height of 300m. There is an observatory on the top floor. You can go outside the observatory, but it is very cold! because it is 300m above the ground.

Abeno Harukas can be reached on foot from JR Tennoji Station.

LaLaport EXPO City(Near the Tower of the sun)

LaLaport-EXPO-City is a large commercial facility. Here there is a movie theater “109 Cinemas” the IMAX laser screening has been carried out. This is the only movie theater in Japan where laser screenings are held. We watched Star Wars here.

To get here, take the Osaka Monorail from Senri Chuo Station and get off at Expo Memorial Park Station. But the fare for the Osaka Monorail is high.
